Welcome to the 2020-2021 Ski Racing Season!

10/29/20

Dear Mount Peter Race Families-

NYS has officially released guidelines to allow ski areas to open this winter! Yay! We have eagerly been awaiting these words!!

Mount Peter received the NYS Guidelines for opening document just last week. We have been pouring over all of the details and making tough decisions along the way.

We want to thank all families that responded to the surveys as this helped us begin shaping our programs. As the guidelines are quite stringent, we have not made any final decisions on any program EXCEPT the Full USSA Race Team Program.

Mount Peter will be having some form of a program (still to be determined) for the U10-U21 Racers this season. U8’s will be able to try out on the first day of the program (ONLY) and join with Coach and Director recommendation Only. We do not at this time have specifics of what the program will look like but it will most likely take place Saturdays and Sundays with no week night training. NJSRA will have approximately 2-3 races per age group within the NJSRA region. There will not be any post season or travel for U14 and under. The U16 and up will have post season, currently.

We have not made any decisions on Dynamites or Dev Team. We hope to have some answers in the next few weeks. We know everyone wants to get out and ski and we are excited about that but we have to plan our program with the guidelines in mind and also taking into consideration your survey responses. So keep a look out for final decisions on Dynamite and Dev.

In the meantime, if you are a U10 - U21 and plan to join the program, please ensure you don't miss the USSS early bird deadline of Nov 1, 2020 as the price rises substantially after this. If you don't currently have a membership you do not need to worry about the early bird date as you can join any time up until you join the program.

If you have any questions please respond to this email or check our website mtpeterracing.com.
