Monday – closed (open holiday periods)

Tuesday – closed (open holiday periods)

Wednesday – 10 a.m.-*7 p.m.

Thursday – 10 a.m.-*7 p.m.

Friday 10 a.m.-*8 p.m.

Saturday – 8:30 a.m.-*8 p.m.

Sunday – 8:30 a.m.-*6 p.m.


Please note that night hours begin on Wednesday, January 6th.  Always check the website or snowphone to verify hours before coming.
December hours will be posted on the Snow Report page.

During holiday periods, Mount Peter will operate Monday and Tuesday’s from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Holiday periods are: 12/26/20-1/3/21; 1/16/21-1/18/21; 2/12/21-2/21/21

In the event of a closure due to inclement weather, Mount Peter will call to reschedule your trip.

The tentative Winter Season is generally from early December through Mid-March.



Located in the heart of the beautiful Hudson Valley, Mount Peter is just an hour’s drive from New York City. That makes getting here easy – leaving is the hard part.

- Take the NYS Thruway north to Exit 15A
- Proceed on NY-17 North to Rte. 17A West
- Follow signs to Mount Peter on Rte. 17A

From the North:
- Take the NYS Thruway south to Exit 16 (Harriman)
- Proceed on Rte. 17 South to Rte. 17A West
- Follow signs to Mount Peter on Rte. 17A

From the East:
Follow Rte. 17A to Mount Peter

From the West:
- Take Rte. 17/86 to Exit 124 (Florida/Goshen)
- Turn left onto Rte. 17A towards Florida
- Follow signs to Mount Peter on Rte. 17A

From NYC via George Washington Bridge:
- Palisades Parkway North
- To Route 87 North
- To 17 North to 17A
- Follow signs to Mount Peter on Rte. 17A
