For Scouts interested in completing the Snow Sports Merit Badge, counselors will be on site Saturday and Sunday.  Please bring their blue card signed by their scoutmaster and completed workbook. For Scouts that have never skied/boarded, they can attend a free beginner lesson and can still earn a “Partial” on the merit badge. For example, Requirement 1-6 are all able to be done off snow. It’s not until requirement 7, they need to show skiing/riding ability.

Meet at the red flag in our Learning Center area by the rental building and let us know if your scout will be partaking in the free beginner lesson or completing  all of the requirements for the  merit badge.

If you plan on partaking in the Snow Sports Merit Badge, please sign up on our Facebook page.  You do not need to sign up on the Facebook page if you are not completing the Snow Sports Merit Badge.

Please see the schedule for the day for specifics.

Special Mount Peter Scout souvenir patches will be available for sale at Pete’s Closet, the mountain’s onsite retail shop.

Schedule for the day

11am – Meet by the red Mountain School sign at our Learning Center area by the rental building. The scouts will be grouped together to review your skills on the hill. For those scouts who are new to skiing/boarding, we will conduct a free beginner lesson at that time. About one hour.

12pm – Immediately following the review of the scouts’ skills or the free beginner lesson, we will complete the workbook review, followed by signing of blue cards in Sunrise Lodge.

For Scouts interested in completing their Snow Sports Merit Badge, counselors will be available both Saturday and Sunday. Scouts should bring their blue card signed by their scoutmaster and completed workbook.

Find the workbook here.

*Please note: You do not need to complete the snow sports merit badge in order to ski or snowboard.*
