Mount Peter Preparing for Annual Scout Weekend

Big discounts and bigger fun for local scouts and scouting families!

Mount Peter, New York’s family mountain, is getting ready for its annual Scout Weekend, taking place on March 14 and 15, 2020. All Scouts and scouting families are invited to hit the friendly slopes of Mount Peter for a weekend of skiing and snowboarding fun, all at huge discounts. Bring your troop, your pack and your family out to our lodge, and enjoy a fabulous weekend.

“We look forward to Scout Weekend every year, not only for the adventurous spirits and great energy the scouts bring to the mountain, but as an opportunity to say thank you to these awesome young people and their leaders, who share our values and do so much for our community,” said Amy Sampson-Cutler, Executive Manager at Mount Peter.

Mount Peter is extending deep discounts on lift tickets and rentals to scouts at any level and their immediate family members. Single-day lift tickets for scouts will be just $30, and $50 for family members. Ski and snowboard rentals for scouts and their families will be $25 for juniors (5-11 yrs. old) and $30 for adults. Helmet rentals will be available for all ages at $12. Mount Peter’s Mountain School will also be offering free beginner lessons with the purchase of a lift ticket throughout Scout Weekend.

A Boy Scout merit badge counselor will be on hand to provide sign-offs. Special Mount Peter Scout Souvenir Patches will be available for sale at Pete’s Closet, the mountain’s on-site retail shop!

Reservations are not required, but recommended for large scout groups. Always be prepared: Plan your group’s visit by calling (845) 986-4940.
