Swap and Sale with Ski Barn Of Paramus

If there is one thing that helps everyone get in the mood for winter and skiing and snowboarding, it’s a really great gear and equipment sale!

This year, the Ski Barn Ski Sale will be on October 15 and 16, with an After-Sale by Ski Barn on October 23. Hours on the 15th and 16th are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and the After-Sale hours will be 11-4 on the 23rd. The swap will be Sunday October 16th from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

This is how the swap works: if you have something (skis, boots, board, good conditioned apparel) that you would like to sell, drop it off at the mountain inside the main lodge October 14 from 6-8 p.m. or October 15 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The swap part of the event is run by our volunteer Mountain Patrol, and is also a fund-raiser for them. There is a $2 fee per item dropped off, and Patrol tries their best to sell your items during the swap. If your item is sold, you must pick up your check on Sunday October 16 between 3-5 p.m. Any funds not collected will be considered a donation to patrol. A 20 percent commission will be taken out of each sale, so please price accordingly. If your item is not sold, you must pick it up on Sunday before 5 p.m. Please note that items not picked up will not be kept.

The sale is run by Ski Barn, who fills the Sunrise Lodge with equipment, clothing and accessories. They have awesome deals and really great discounts – up to 75 percent!

During the weekend of the Swap and Sale, visit our Mount Peter tent on the base of the mountain to sign up for your season pass, multi-week program, racing program, or just to chat about the mountain and the great sports of skiing and snowboarding! And don’t worry about getting hungry – the Hot Spot will be open with the burgers and hot dogs that we have all been missing!
